How to Read This Table
A lawsuit is a claim, not a finding. Where an entry describes a case that has been filed but not decided, the allegations in it have not been tested in court and the person named denies them or has yet to respond. We say so explicitly in each summary. A settlement records an agreement resolving claims. Its amount and payment conditions may be public even when completed payment has not been verified. An agreement does not, by itself, establish an admission of wrongdoing; read the source and status for each entry.
Amounts are often missing, and that is honest. A great many settlements are confidential. Where no reliable figure exists we leave the amount blank rather than repeat a number that circulates without a source. A blank here means “not disclosed,” not “nothing.”
Amounts need context. A claim, judgment and settlement describe different stages of a dispute. Fees, appeals, payment terms and amounts actually received or paid can differ. Read each figure with its source and date; do not treat it as a complete loss, a verified cash receipt or a measure of personal wealth.
