How to Read This Table
A lawsuit is a claim, not a finding. Where an entry describes a case that has been filed but not decided, the allegations in it have not been tested in court and the person named denies them or has yet to respond. We say so explicitly in each summary. Entries that record a settlement are different: money actually changed hands. But even there, most settlements in the United States are made without any admission of wrongdoing, and we note that where it applies.
Amounts are often missing, and that is honest. A great many settlements are confidential. Where no reliable figure exists we leave the amount blank rather than repeat a number that circulates without a source. A blank here means “not disclosed,” not “nothing.”
The financial impact is rarely the headline number. Legal costs, frozen assets and lost deals routinely exceed the judgment or settlement itself, and almost none of that is ever disclosed. Treat these figures as a floor, not a total.
