Bow Wow was born Shad Gregory Moss in Columbus, Ohio 1987, on March 9. His mother is Teresa Rena Caldwell and his father is Alfonso Preston Moss. His parents separated and Bow Wow grew up with his mother in a low-income, single-parent household of East Columbus.
Music Career
Bow Wow began his rap career at the tender age of five and began to perform in various talent shows. His stage name ‘Lil’ Bow Wow’ was coined by Snoop Dogg, who happened to hear him freestyle at a Los Angeles concert. Formerly he was known as Kid Gangsta.
By the time of their meetup, Snoop Dogg had yet to drop any debut albums, and so he welcomed Bow Wow onto one of his singles.
