Net worth & personal profile
Usain BoltNet Worth
The $90M estimate tested against peak sponsorship income, Puma's undisclosed terms, the SSL investment case, Bolt-branded ventures and his life with fiancée Kasi Bennett.
Usain Bolt's exact net worth is not independently established. Celebrity Net Worth publishes a $90 million estimate. The strongest public benchmarks are historical earnings estimates — including Forbes' $34.2 million for 2016–17 — rather than a current balance sheet. A disputed Jamaican investment account also makes a simple headline total especially unreliable.

The essentials
The familiar $90 million figure is an outside estimate. No reviewed source supplies a current list of Bolt's assets, debts, taxes and ownership percentages. [5]
Forbes estimated $34.2 million of pretax earnings in 2016–17: $32 million from endorsements and $2.2 million from winnings and appearance fees. That is a one-year flow, not wealth. [7]
The SSL case involves two distinct figures: a US$6.2 million original amount validated by authorities and a US$12.7 million statement balance claimed in the alternative. Bolt's legal team said none had been recovered by July 2026. [14]
The estimate · Peak earnings · The missing investment · Business · Family & now · Evidence
Usain Bolt turned two world records and eight Olympic titles into one of sport’s most recognizable commercial identities. His speed is measurable to the hundredth of a second; his private wealth is not. Public sources reveal annual earnings estimates, partnerships and a disputed investment account, but no complete personal balance sheet.
This review removes the old article’s invented year-by-year earnings series. It does not add endorsement income across years or treat money raised by a company carrying Bolt’s name as his own. Net Worth VIP — methodology
01 / The headline number
The $90M estimate is plausible, but not reproducible
Celebrity Net Worth publishes a $90 million estimate. The page describes career income and commercial relationships, but it does not provide current bank balances, securities, property values, business stakes, debts, taxes or a calculation that another researcher can reproduce.
Bolt’s public earning power gives the estimate context. Forbes put him at $34.2 million for the 12 months ending June 2017, near the end of his competitive career. That figure measures pretax income during one exceptional year, not what remained after expenses and taxes or what he owns in 2026.
The structured net-worth field therefore stays blank. The $90 million figure is presented as a publisher’s estimate, while documented earnings and the unresolved SSL loss appear separately.
02 / Peak earnings
Sponsorships, not prize money, powered the biggest years
The Jamaica Gleaner’s account of Forbes’ 2016–17 estimate split Bolt’s $34.2 million into $32 million of endorsements and $2.2 million of winnings and appearance fees. It reported that European meet appearances could command about $300,000. Guinness similarly recorded $32.5 million for the prior year, with $30 million attributed to endorsements.
Puma was the defining relationship. Its own archive confirms the long partnership, while reporting on the 2010 renewal explicitly said the exact contract amount was not disclosed. Later press estimates of annual guarantees should not be promoted to known cash receipts without the contract, bonus conditions and tax treatment.
Bolt remains marketable after retirement. Hublot’s 2026 signature watch is limited to 200 pieces and marks 15 years together. The release establishes the partnership and product, but publishes neither Bolt’s fee nor royalty rate.
03 / The missing investment
The SSL scandal is material, and the numbers need care
In January 2023, Bolt’s representatives said an account held through Stocks and Securities Limited had fallen from about US$12.8 million to roughly US$12,000. Early coverage therefore described US$12.7 million as missing. Authorities later said about 70 client accounts were affected across the wider investigation.
Later court and compensation reporting drew a crucial distinction. Authorities validated US$6.2 million as the original amount allegedly defrauded from Bolt’s company, Welljen. His civil claim sought that original amount or, alternatively, the US$12.7 million shown on statements. A statement balance may include purported gains; it is not identical to verified cash contributed.
By July 2026, the Jamaica Gleaner reported that Bolt’s legal team said none of the money had been recovered. Criminal charges and plea discussions were active, so the figures describe allegations, claims and account records rather than a final adjudicated recovery.
04 / Brands and ventures
A famous name does not reveal the ownership economics
Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records appears in KLE Group’s public reporting as a restaurant brand. KLE’s company revenue, profit and assets belong to the listed operator. Without the franchise or licensing agreement, they cannot establish Bolt’s equity, royalties or personal income.
Bolt Mobility raised more than $40 million before the micromobility startup ceased operations in 2022. The fundraising total was company capital from investors, not Bolt’s investment or payout. Public reporting does not give a reliable basis for adding the $40 million to his wealth or subtracting it as his personal loss.
The 2026 Hublot release and his World Athletics Ultimate Legend appointment show that the Bolt brand remains active. Both are meaningful current roles; neither discloses enough commercial terms to value them.
05 / Family and life now
Kasi Bennett is his fiancée, and they have three children
Bolt proposed to longtime partner Kasi Bennett during his 40th-birthday celebration in August 2026. Current reporting identifies their daughter Olympia Lightning and twin sons Thunder and Saint Leo. The engagement is the current relationship status; reports that still call Bennett only his girlfriend are now dated.
He retired after the 2017 World Championships. His 9.58-second 100 metres and 19.19-second 200 metres remain the world records, and World Athletics lists eight Olympic titles. Those verified achievements explain the endurance of his commercial brand better than speculative property lists.
For the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest in September 2026, Bolt serves as the event’s Ultimate Legend. It is his first athletics role of that kind and the clearest current public project alongside the Hublot collaboration.
The evidence, with its limits

|---|---|---|
| $90M | Celebrity Net Worth’s current estimate | An audited or independently reproducible personal balance sheet |
| $34.2M | Forbes estimate of 2016–17 pretax earnings | Current wealth or annual income after retirement |
| $32M | Endorsement component of that earnings estimate | Cash retained after agents, costs and taxes |

| US$12.7M | Alternative claim based on the SSL statement balance | Verified cash originally invested or recovered |
| US$6.2M | Original amount authorities validated in the SSL claim | A final recovery; his lawyers said none was returned by July 2026 |
