About these figures: This collection reproduces reported wealth estimates and source disagreements. These are not independent valuations by Net Worth VIP or audited personal balance sheets. Estimates use different dates and methods, and some entries remain disputed. Entry numbers identify rows; they are not verified wealth positions. See the source notes and our Methodology.
Acting made these fortunes, but ownership multiplied them. The richest names in Hollywood are overwhelmingly the ones who took backend profit participation instead of flat fees, who directed and produced rather than only starred, and who built studios and franchises they own. The profiles below compare reported estimates and explain relevant source limitations.

Notes on Disputed and Borderline Figures
- Tyler Perry: Forbes puts him at $1.4 billion; Celebrity Net Worth estimates $850 million. We use the Forbes figure.
- Jerry Seinfeld: Forbes and Bloomberg treat him as a ~$1.1 billion billionaire, but his representative called that “inaccurate” in early 2026, and Celebrity Net Worth lists $900 million. His wealth is comedy/TV-first rather than film.
- Shah Rukh Khan: Celebrity Net Worth says $600 million, while the Hurun Global Rich List 2026 puts him near $1.3 billion — a wide methodology gap. His fortune includes Red Chillies and the Kolkata Knight Riders cricket team.
- Wealth not purely from film: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s fortune leans heavily on investments and real estate; Dwayne Johnson’s on his Teremana tequila stake; Robert De Niro’s substantially on the Nobu chain. We include them as film stars but flag the mix.
- Johnny Depp (~$150 million per Celebrity Net Worth) is left off pending clarity — his figure is disputed given documented debts and legal costs.
How to Read These Figures
The figures above come from published estimates, with sources and disagreements discussed in the notes. Company valuations, career earnings and individual transactions do not independently establish personal net worth. Overlapping ranges and disputed figures prevent a reliable strict ordering. Follow the linked profiles for the evidence and limitations available for each person.
What we did not include
- Musicians, athletes and pure-business figures — they have their own hubs, even when they act.
- Media moguls (e.g. Oprah) whose wealth was not built primarily as an actor or director.
- Duos and shared fortunes — where two people built and hold wealth jointly, a single ranking slot would be misleading. See our separate profile of the Olsen Twins.
