Editorial Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Net Worth VIP publishes estimated net worth profiles of public figures across film, music, sport, business, comedy, politics and online media. This page sets out how we work, what readers should expect from our coverage, and the editorial standards we hold ourselves to.

Editorial independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, affiliate partners and the people we profile. No subject of a profile pays for inclusion, exclusion, removal, or favourable language. Sponsored content, when it appears, is clearly labelled as such and never influences the editorial copy around it.

Accuracy and sourcing

We base our estimates and biographical detail on the public record: regulatory filings, audited reports, court records, and reporting from established trade and general-news outlets. Where a claim hinges on a single source, we say so in the article. Where reputable sources disagree, we present the range rather than picking a single figure silently.

The full method is documented in our Methodology page.

Verification process

Every published profile goes through:

  1. Initial research against at least two independent sources for any net-worth figure.
  2. Cross-checking of biographical facts (birth date, career milestones, filmography, contract terms) against primary records or reputable secondary reporting.
  3. Editorial review for fairness, tone and adequate sourcing of contested claims.
  4. A final consistency pass before publication.

AI-assisted writing

We use AI tools to assist with research aggregation, draft outlines and copy editing. AI-generated copy is never published without human review, fact-checking and editing. Final responsibility for every published article rests with a named editor.

Tone and fairness

We aim to be informative and even-handed. Net worth coverage can shade into speculation about lifestyle, taste and personal life — we try to avoid that. Where reputational matters, legal proceedings or personal controversies are relevant to a person’s wealth, we cover them factually and proportionately, and we do not present allegations as findings.

Anonymous sources

We prefer named, on-the-record sourcing. Anonymous sources are used only where the information is in the public interest, where the source has direct first-hand knowledge, and where the editor is satisfied with the source’s reliability. We do not publish anonymous claims about personal finances without independent corroboration.

Estimates, not declarations

The net worth figures on this site are independent editorial estimates. They are not endorsed by, or co-produced with, the people profiled. We do not present them as audited financial statements, and we expect readers to treat them as informed approximations, not exact accounting.

Affiliate and advertising disclosure

This site may carry display advertising and, where appropriate, affiliate links to third-party products and services. Advertising and affiliate revenue help fund the editorial work but do not influence which subjects we cover or what we say about them.

Updates and dating

Each profile carries a “Last updated” date that reflects the most recent substantive editorial review. We do not artificially refresh dates without underlying changes, and we do not retroactively re-date older content to make it appear current.

Corrections

If you believe an article on this site contains a factual error, please see our Corrections Policy for how to flag it. We respond to credible correction requests in writing and update the article transparently.
